We are all in favor of dragging out the Christmas holiday until the bitter end. So grab your jammies (or whatever you do or don't sleep in) and come on down for some karaoke, a white elephant gift exchange, and possibly even a holiday photo with Santa Franck!
Also, don't forget, we WILL be open for the first Monday of the year! Pace yourselves, brace yourselves and let's slam into 2012 like a freight train.... |

Another week without a crazy theme. Things certainly won't be boring, though. :-)
We'd had quite a bit of madness and hustle for a while there.
It's time to sit down with stellar cartography and figure out
where we're going next. In the meantime, let's get back
to what we enjoy - good old-fashioned karaoke insanity....

Monday, December 12th we present
Ground Control's first annual
Holiday Craft Faire!
Crafty GC folks will gather to proffer their wares for your holiday gift-giving consumption. Keep your money in our community of friends, support independent business, and get some prettycool handcrafted stuff made by friends.

Ground Control has been given the nod by Linda Williamson at the L.A. Weekly, declaring us Best Karaoke Night of 2011!

We're gonna celebrate by doing one of the things we love most: helping. This Monday, October 10th, we're having a fundraiser for one of the teams participating in Bowling For Boobies, "Rack & Tears". This team features our very own Eric Schreeck, as well as Victoria Lane, Ariel Schudsen, and Irena Xara! They're halfway to their goal, and we're going to help get them all the way there. Proceeds from the door, as well as your additional donations, make a HUGE difference.
Bowling for Boobies is an annual fundraising event for the Busted Foundation. Busted provides crucial financial support to women struggling to battle cancer. Many people don't realize that standard health insurance might cover the medical bills, but not the day-to-day things like food and rent. Women undergoing chemotherapy or dealing with advanced stages of cancer often find themselves physically unable to work. The Busted Foundation steps in to help with the cost-of-living expenses so these women don't have to worry about getting by, and can focus on beating the disease.
(I've known two women who have gratefully received serious financial help from the Foundation. I'd like to personally extent my gratitude to Busted. - Sark)
